Where each ringgit goes
Four lines, three places.
-
01
Food at shop price
Whatever's on the cafe menu is what you pay. We don't reprice the kitchen.
-
02
Delivery to your rider
The fee goes straight to the student delivering it. RM2 to RM5 depending on route.
-
03
RM1 to Ondewei
Servers, support, the small team behind the chat. That's the whole platform fee.
-
04
Nothing else
No service fee. No checkout tax. No small print line you scroll past.
From the vendor side
The cafe keeps every ringgit they price.
We don't take a commission from the kitchen. Whatever's on the cafe menu is what they collect. The customer's RM1 platform fee is paid by the customer, not deducted from the vendor's payout.
- 0% commission. Sell at shop price, keep shop price.
- No listing fee. No monthly subscription. No featured-listing markup.
- Weekly payouts. Every Monday, every order from the prior week, no minimum.

The honest comparison
Same order. Two receipts.
Not a takedown. Just the math. Big delivery apps bundle four or five fees that quietly add half on top of your food.

- Nasi Lemak Special RM 6.50
- Teh O Ais RM 2.60
- Delivery fee RM 6.00

About RM5.10 of that doesn't reach the cafe or the rider. It funds platform layers, ad spend, and processing margins.
Rider earnings
What your delivery fee buys.
Every ringgit of the delivery fee goes to the student riding to you. Rate depends on distance and zone.
| Route | Notes | Rider gets |
|---|---|---|
| Zone 2 internal | inside one zone | RM2 |
| Zone 1 / Zone 3 internal | inside one zone | RM3 |
| Bangunan Pentadbiran | admin building drop | RM4 |
| Cross-zone | between two zones | RM4 |
| KK9 / KK13 | far residential | RM5 |
Paid per successful delivery. Rates may be adjusted with notice. Riders are paid out weekly.
Why this matters
Your order is also someone's income.
The student riding to your hostel isn't a contractor abstraction. They're someone two blocks over working between classes. That RM4 fee buys lunch back, two stops at a time.
Footnotes
- Receipt sample. Sample uses one typical lunch order. Your actual total depends on what you order and your destination zone.
- Big-app comparison. Composite of typical fee structures across GrabFood, Foodpanda, and ShopeeFood in Malaysia, mid-2025. Individual orders vary by promo and city.
- Promotions. Ondewei doesn't run vendor-funded markdown promos. The price you see is the price.
- Changes. If we ever change pricing structure, this page is updated first and existing users are notified before the change takes effect.
